Deploying the U.S. Marine Corps against civilians is not only irresponsible, it is unconstitutional. It undermines the 10th Amendment, which reserves powers to the states and the people, not the federal government. It also threatens the 5th and 14th Amendments, which ensure due process and protect citizens from arbitrary actions by the state.
