How to Beat Urivar in Diablo 4

Urivar begins the fight by descending into the center of Diablo 4 Items the arena and summoning his knights around the perimeter. These knights throw fiery spears that leave burning trails and briefly inflict poison damage. Because of this, Fire Resistance is extremely valuable, particularly on Torment 3 and 4.

Urivar's Key Attacks

Urivar's mechanics are heavily telegraphed, but they scale aggressively with difficulty:

Rain of Spears that tracks your movement
Charging sword attack, leaving three holy damage trails
Holy beam tether that slows you and summons incoming spears

At higher Torment tiers, even tanky builds can be overwhelmed if these attacks stack. Maintaining mobility and clearing space is essential.

Phase Changes and Damage Skips

At approximately 50% health, Urivar will vanish, forcing you to defeat groups of summoned knights. However, this phase can often be skipped entirely if your build outputs enough burst damage early.
Rather than becoming invulnerable, Urivar uses a shield mechanic. If you break the shield quickly, you can bypass entire phases of the fight. This is where optimized builds and high-end Diablo 4 Items really shine.

In the final phase, Urivar spawns Holy Circles on the ground that deal massive damage if touched. Again, high damage builds can skip this phase entirely by blitzing him down at the start.

Group play also trivializes the fight, making Fields of Judgment an excellent co-op farming dungeon.
