All messages that were trashed in Outlook still appear in All Mail when accessed using webmail, even days later. With that said - the "delayed syncing" issue that I am experiencing is happening on Inbox as well as Junk folders. So my Junk folders do not have that box checked, but the Inbox doesn't have a box to be be checked - their behavior is the same they are both not syncing, until I manually click on them to force the sync. I have half dozen mail accounts a few microsoft a gamil and some other ones and there is no difference they are all acting the same. I work in a small company and for the past 2 weeks we've been having issues with customer support Outlook account. The account is used as IMAP in all customer support clients, every time you set up the mail in anyones computer Outlook Stuck on Synchronizing Folders it just sync 30-50GB ost files... And because of the size, this is making the mail simply stop working after one day of normal use, forcing the users to end outlook process to make the mail sync again properly... But only when you close/open the mail again.

When you synchronize mail using IMAP between Gmail and a desktop mail client such as Outlook, there is a necessary delay between changes made independently at both ends being synchronized in both directions. When you are accessing Gmail via the web application everything is hosted on Google's cloud servers. So it must be something in IMAP protocol handling on the old server that makes the iOS Mail app go out of sync or crash the syncing mechanism on the iOS device. Maybe some encoding behavior or just a different linefeed or something that has changed over the years... Otherwise why even have the ability to auto-sync? If I need to click on each folder to force the sync/download from server then auto sync serves no purpose.

• Suspect some Apple Dev's have been lazy with some code in IOS18's mail.app and its causing the issue.

I am also running QuickFolders and its the same nothing shows up on those tabs until i physically click on them. Ok so my mistake the Properties option is there when right Outlook Not Sending or Receiving Email clicking folder - I was only focused on right clicking on the email address to take me to server setting I was not clicking on the actual folder. I right click a folder and Properties and it take me to attached windows. I don't see - 'When getting new messages...





Wonder if the vpn is causing an issue. Perhaps something in TB needs to be tweaked. I have no firewall monitors running during the day that would interfere just the vpn. I have several email accounts / IMAP set-up. So looking at my tree of email accounts one inbox might have 10 mail total and 3 unread form earlier.
